The school offers a wide range of courses following the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) modules for each level of ability. These course can be tailor-made to suit your own individual needs. Our Instructor/student ratio is 1:3, which ensures a fun and safe learning environment. we try to add as much enjoyment as you can fit in to your time with us. Our courses are aimed sperscificly at juniors and adults from the beginner looking to start sailing for the first time to the advanced looking to improve there skills and learn about seamanship, and spinnakers. Or you are a sailor who is looking for the adrenalin rush with a Performance sailing course.

RYA Basic Skills (Level Two)

Now you have the taste of sailing this fantastic course is to give you the understanding of the basic skills needed and to prepare you to sailing a boat on your own . You have the choice of two course you can do, a three days or a two days course.

The Two Days Course
For those of you who are only free to do the course at the weekend you would be better on the two day course.

The Three days Course
For those of you that feel you would benefit and having the extra day try the three days course.

Pre course ability
Knowledge to Level 1 standard.

The two days course are run on a Saturday - Sunday
The three days course are run on a Wednesday -Friday
Five Day Course (RYA Level One & Two)

This fantastic course gets you started ñ a fun 5 days fast track rote to the world of sailing. This course is for those of you who can take a week of work and wishing to gain a basic understanding and experience of the life of sailing.

Private & Own Boat Tuition

These lessons can be booked for dinghy sailing and can be structured however you wish. Perhaps you have not sailed for quite some time and would like to ëget back intoí sailing.† Have you just bought a boat and what some one to help you rig and take it out for the first time. Do you fancy a session in a modern performance boat or just want to brush up on specific skills? ñ the possibilities are endless.

Taster Sail

This course is for those of you who have always thought of trying sailing but never got around to it. Sign up now and have the fantastic experience of sailing. A 3 hour sailing experience to see if sailing is for you and that you enjoy it.

Now you have completed the basics of the sailing and You have got the sailing bug! There is only one remedy carry on. Theres a choice of five different course to increase you skills and knowledge of sailing. We do recommend the Seamanship course before going for Day Sailing, but if you fancy getting in our modern asymmetric and letting rip then go for the Spinnakers course. If you would like to learn about racing basics then check out our racing course o if you fancy your hand at trappzing then try our performance sailing course

RYA Seamanship Skills

You have got the sailing bug! †There is only one remedy ñ carry on.† Now add the skills to cope with all eventualities.† You will learn how to deal with strong winds and waves, recovering crew who have fallen overboard, sailing without a rudder and much more.

Pre course ability
To have the Skills and background to at lest RYA Level 2.

RYA Day Sailing

Two days of passage planning and making the passage around the beautiful water and creeks of Cornwall's Fal estuary. To prepare you and give the knowledge, to make for small passages and go cruising.

Pre course ability
To have the Skills and background to at lest RYA Level 2 coastal.

RYA Sailing with Spinnakers

A two day course learning about Everything you need to know about ëkiteí flying. different types of spinnakers using symmetrical and asymmetrical spinnakers to enhance your skills in a performance dinghy. You will be pushing your boats speed to the limit with the control of three sails and the ideal course if you are thinking to go into racing.

To have the Skills and background to at lest RYA Level 2 coastal.

RYA Performance Boat Sailing

This course is the allurement course for those of you who need that adrenalin rush whilst sailing. An excellent course into advanced and high performance dinghy sailing including rigging, trapezing, hiking, tuning and down wind sailing with advanced seamanship skills.

To have the Skills and background to at lest RYA Sailing With Spinnakers Coastal.

RYA Racing

This course is for those of you who have a reusable amount of sailing knowledge and have that competitiveness strike in side you and are wanting to get into club racing. You learn the basic of starting and what the rules of the sport.

Pre course ability
To have a reusable about of knowledge of sailing.

RYA Dinghy Sailing Instructors

The Instructor course consists of 5 days of intensive but enjoyable training. It teaches you the RYA method, the structure of the RYA and how to teach sailing. The course is run by an RYA Coach Assessor and is moderated on the last day by a second Coach Assessor. The course will be the full 5 days to ensure that everyone has time to complete all the necessary training. You should note that this course will not run with less than 4 candidates.

Pre course ability
You must be at lest 16 and have past your pre assessment, you are advise to have you First Aid at Sea and Powerboat Level 2 before coming on the course.
