The Avon Adventure
This fantastic boat has joined our fleet of boats for you to train in and charter from us.
She has very good sea handling and has been know to leave many a boat behind in her wake in heavy seas with her solid and well built hull.
Finding The Ropes
The ‘Finding the Ropes’ project is aimed at providing education resulting in recognised qualifications and personal development to young people who may beat risk of disengaging with formal education or employment and encouraging their re-engagement with the learning process. It is a fully funded course for young people meeting the necessary criteria for eligibility.
There are a few remaining places on these courses during October and November. If you are an educational organisation or other youth focused agency please get in touch with us to find out about eligibility, availability and how to apply for fully funded spaces on this project.
BDMLR - Helping to recover marine life from the beaches
The British Diver Marine Life Rescue course teaches you how to help stranded, injured and beached seals, dolphins and whales to either return to the sea or if necessary have further medical assistance. FSOS have been doing a lot of training with and for the BDMLR in Helm-person training and the safety on board powerboats.
The course took place on the beach just in front of the brand new lifeboat station.
